Even with the tough economy a number of companies are still giving employees year-end perks. However, in many cases it won't be quite the same as last year. A new CareerBuilder survey shows that 49-percent will be hosting holiday parties for staff. Among these companies, 30-percent say the gathering will be on par with last year, while 18-percent note it will be a scaled down affair. Eleven-percent are dropping the tradition this year. Nearly 30-percent of employers will be giving workers holiday bonuses. For 16-percent, the bonus will equal what employees received in 2008. Eleven-percent admit the bonuses will be small than they were last year, and 12-percent won't be giving bonuses even though they've done so in the past.
Just over a quarter of the bosses surveyed say they'll still give their staff gifts. Fifteen-percent intend to spend about the same amount as they did last year and eight percent will spend a little less on the presents. Another eight percent note workers won't be getting gifts this year.
