Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift are getting a little recognition from "Rolling Stone." Chesney, who, this year, marked his eighth consecutive year selling more than one-million concert tickets, is coming in third on the publication's list of the biggest touring acts of the decade. Only the Dave Matthews Band and Celine Dion place in front of him, while Kenny is ahead of such top concert draws as U2, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, and the Rolling Stones. But Chesney notes what's important to him is simply entertaining his audience. He explains, quote, "Those fans who show up every night, who stand there in the sun, occasionally the rain and always with the biggest smiles on their faces...To me, it's not about where I rank, but knowing the chunks of their lives those fans have shared with me. Now that's what this whole crazy ride's about."
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is getting some acknowledgement from "Rolling Stone" readers. She made the cut in the publication's year-end poll, landing at number ten on the list of Top Artists of 2009. "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert tops the heavily rock-laden list.
