Taylor Swift One Of NBC's "People Of The Year"
Taylor Swift is getting the spotlight as one of the top personalities of 2009. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter will be featured in the TV special "NBC's People of the Year." NBC says the show features, quote, "the most fascinating, inspirational, heroic, and notorious figures, and the most-talked about stories of 2009," with the subjects sharing their stories with "Today" host Matt Lauer. Along with Swift, others getting attention include basketball star Kobe Bryant; "Britain's Got Talent" breakout star Susan Boyle; and "Octomom" Nadya Suleman; along with Captain Chelsey Sullenberger, the pilot who saved the passengers and crew of his plane with his emergency landing on the Hudson River in New York; and Captain Richard Phillips, who put his own life at risk to protect his ship and crew from Somali pirates. "NBC's People of the Year" will air on NBC Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
