Prospectors Head To Antarctica To Drill For Whiskey....

Prospectors are heading to Antarctica to drill for -- Scotch whiskey. Brit news website www.metro.co.uk reports that the team from New Zealand will risk life and limb in search of two crates of McKinlay and Co. whiskey lost in 1909. The valuable spirits were abandoned by Brit polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton in the early 20th century. Now the team from New Zealand's Antarctic Heritage Trust will used advanced drills and extensive technology to reach the crates. Due to Antarctic restrictions on excavation, only some bottles will be removed. The good news for the Kiwi team is that the excavated McKinely will be as drinkable as it was 100 years ago.
