For a second straight week, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" held the top spot at the North American box office. The second installment in the vampire franchise earned 42-point-five-million dollars to bring its total sales to just about 231-million. In second, just as it was last week, was the Sandra Bullock football movie "The Blind Side." That flick earned 40-point-one million dollars over the weekend. Coming in a distant third is the end-of-the-world disaster film "2012," followed by the debut of "Old Dogs" in fourth. "Old Dogs" starring John Travolta and Robin Williams took in 16-point-eight million in its debut this week. In fifth, was Disney's performance-capture animated film "A Christmas Carol," starring Jim Carrey. For the five-day Thanksgiving holiday period, North American movie tickets set a record with 278-million-dollars in receipts.
