"Law & Order" Using David Letterman Saga For Storyline

NBC's hit drama "Law & Order" is using one of the kings of late night for an upcoming episode. According to "The Wrap," the show will be airing an episode based on David Letterman's recent extortion sex scandal. The episode will center on a, quote, "well-known celebrity talk-show host, married with children," who has taken part in, quote, "a series of short-lived affairs with some of the employees on the show and up until now has managed to keep them off the radar." The fictional host will then be forced to publicly address their sexual activity when they are blackmailed for three-million-dollars. In order to keep the story somewhat unique, "Law & Order" is making the TV host a woman. The fictional "Vanessa Carville" will be in her late 30s or early 40s, and hosts a daily talk show with a panel of women. A debut date for "Law & Order's" David Letterman-inspired episode has not yet been announced.
