It's All About The Meatballs in California!!
A national competitive eating champion from San Jose, California won a meatball competition in Sin City Sunday. Joey Chestnut downed 50 meatballs in ten minutes to win belching and bragging rights at the first-ever "Martorano's Masters Meatball Eating Championship" at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Chestnut's six-point-25-pound meal also set a new world record and earned the man who may be the Muhammad Ali of competitive eating 15-hundred bucks in first-place prize money. Chestnut has previously won the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
