Survey Says: CHARLIE SHEEN - THE TEFLON STAR

Scandal doesn't seem to be hurting Charlie Sheen. Following reports of the actor's third trip to rehab over the past 12 months, 26-percent of those taking part in a new "Hollywood Reporter"/ Penn Schoen Berland poll say they have a "much more" or "somewhat more" favorable opinion of the "Two and a Half Men" star, and 96-percent don't want him to leave the show. However, 28-percent think CBS and Warner Bros "should remove" Charlie from the sitcom. Among women specifically, 42-percent agree Sheen should be cut from the show, but 82-percent say they'll still watch regardless of his personal problems. In addition, 90-percent of those describing themselves as "avid fans" don't think Charlie's substance abuse problems matter as long as he can still deliver on the set.

While Sheen is expected to be back at work at the end of the month, 50-percent think he should take more time off to "get better" and 34-percent feel Charlie "should work through his personal issues" while remaining on "Two and a Half Men," while 16-percent believe he should leave the series. Nearly 60-percent believe Sheen "isn't acting" but is really "just playing himself" on the show, and 56-percent feel "Two and a Half Men" should craft an episode about Charlie's real-life problems. Meanwhile, 62-percent say there's been too much attention focused on Sheen's off-screen troubles, and the media should "leave him alone."
