Reelz Channel Picks Up "The Kennedys"

The eight-part miniseries "The Kennedys" has found an outlet. Reelz Channel has picked up the biopic, and plans to launch the series on April 3rd. A&E was originally on board to air the TV movie on the History Channel. But a change of plans was announced last month, amid rumors that the Kennedy family was behind an effort to keep the film from airing. At the time, Deadline.com was reporting that the Kennedys were uncomfortable with the project coming out in the same year as the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's first year in office. However, producers continued to search for a broadcast outlet for the TV movie. "The Kennedys" stars Greg Kinnear as former President John F. Kennedy and Katie Holmes and former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
