Prisoners Wash Feet For Forgiveness
Prisoners in China are being given a unique opportunity to apologize to their loved ones. The U.K.'s "Orange" news is reporting that inmates at the Jialing jail have been allowed to wash their relatives' feet as a way to make up for the embarrassment they have caused. The ancient custom is a common part of the Chinese New Year. A prison spokesman says more than 450 pairs of feet have already been washed, adding that the practice is a great way for inmates to think about their actions. The spokesman adds, quote, "It is a very moving experience and every visitor can buy a souvenir photo."
