Miley's Objections Prompt Billy Ray Cyrus To Cancel TV Appearance

Billy Ray Cyrus is out of "View." PopEater.com says the country singer cancelled a scheduled appearance on today's edition of ABC's "The View" in light of his daughter Miley's objections. An unidentified family friend tells the website the "Hannah Montana" star, quote, "went nuts" when she learned that Billy Ray was planning a trip to New York to appear on the talk show. The source explains that after Billy Ray's controversial "GQ" interview, team Miley wasn't going to let him visit "The View" and, quote, "talk more crap about his family." An insider adds that Miley was willing to forgive her dad for the "GQ" interview, because, quote, "goodness knows she's said things she wishes she could take back," but she couldn't just sit back and watch Billy Ray go public once again with the family's private drama.

Cyrus recently told "GQ" he was worried about Miley, and accused her handlers of keeping him away from her. He also voiced his regrets over allowing Miley to launch her career through the Disney series "Hannah Montana," and blamed the show for destroying his family.
