Lady A Gets A Request To Help Chickens

Lady Antebellum is getting a special request, but not for a specific song. Lady A is slated to perform at the upcoming Association of KFC Franchisees gathering, and The Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde is hoping the trio will do more than just entertain. She has sent a letter to the group through the animal rights organization PETA, explaining, quote, "KFC has refused to heed its own advisory panel's recommendations to eliminate its most cruel and archaic slaughter practices, so my friends at PETA and I are hoping that you will use your unique position to appeal to the company. With your influential public platform, KFC might not so easily turn a deaf ear to you."

Hynde includes some graphic descriptions to illustrate her point, and adds, quote, "Would you consider asking KFC executives to make a few changes to end the worst abuses of chickens?" Lady A is scheduled to perform at the AKFCF event in San Diego, California on March 3rd.
