Jimmy Wayne Receives New Support For Meet Me Halfway

Jimmy Wayne's Meet Me Halfway campaign is getting support new support. Last Thursday representatives at the Tennessee State Treasury Department met Wayne on the steps of the State Capitol in Nashville to give him a check for two-thousand-dollars for his charity. Jimmy says he's moved by the employees' fund drive, explaining, quote, "The fact that they have opened their hearts to these kids and want to support them means the world to me. They are the perfect examples of what Project Meet Me Halfway is all about." Wayne officially launched Meet Me Halfway in January 2010 by heading out on a 17-hundred-mile walk from Nashville to Phoenix, Arizona, which took him seven months to complete. Through Meet Me Halfway, Wayne is working to raise awareness for homeless teens and young adults, many of whom are either in the foster care system or are former foster kids.
