Gary Allan Making Concert Return Following Vocal Cord Surgery

Gary Allan is back. The singer is making his return to the stage with a performance tonight at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. The event marks Gary's first concert since he had vocal chord surgery back in the fall. He went under the knife just a few days after wrapping up his "Get Off On The Pain Tour" in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on November 20th. His condition forced him to cancel a couple of concerts in December, including a New Year's Eve date in Las Vegas. Gary remained quiet for several weeks, following doctor's orders to stay on vocal rest as he recovered from the surgery. He's also gone through vocal therapy to rebuild his strength and endurance.

With tonight's performance the country star is launching a two-month, 15-date slate of shows, and his schedule doesn't always allow for much downtime between performances. Gary will be playing back-to-back concerts in Oklahoma and Louisiana later this week, and three consecutive shows in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey in early March. Allan also has a two-night stand in Robinsonville, Mississippi set for in April.
