Charlie Sheen Thanks Supporters

Rehabbing actor Charlie Sheen says he owes a lot to his supporters. The "Two and a Half Men" star issued a statement through his publicist on Wednesday, thanking the cast and crew of his CBS sitcom as well as his fans. He said, quote, "I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people." It marked Sheen's first public statement since his hospitalization late last week for what was later described as a hernia injury. Reports soon surfaced that Sheen had been partying at his home with drugs, booze and porn stars before he was rushed to the hospital. On a tape of the 911 call that led paramedics to the actor's home, Sheen's neighbor, Dr. Paul Nassif, told dispatchers that the actor sounded very drunk and in a lot of pain when he spoke to him on the phone.

Last Friday, Sheen's rep said the actor had voluntarily entered rehab and CBS said "Two and a Half Men" was being placed on hiatus.
