Boy Charged After Firing Toy Gun
(Hammonton, NJ) -- Misdemeanor charges are pending against a New Jersey seven-year-old for shooting a nerf-style toy gun in class. Police in Hammonton say the boy violated the school board's zero-tolerance police last month when he fired the gun at the Hammonton Early Childhood Education Center. He is charged with possession of an imitation firearm in an education institution, a minor juvenile offense in New Jersey.
