Woman Left Baby In Car During Shoplifting Spree

(Holland, MI) -- A laundry list of charges are pending in Michigan against a woman accused of leaving her baby in a parked car while she was inside a store shoplifting. Police in Holland say 28-year-old Zhen-Yi Piers left the four-month-old child in the car while she went into a Meijer grocery store but others in the area saw the child. Police were called to the scene and arrested Piers when she returned to her vehicle. She denies doing anything wrong but charges include retail fraud and child endangerment. The baby is fine and is with her father.
