Toilet-Themed Restaurant Finding Success In China

A restaurant owner in China is flush with customers thanks to his business' unusual theme. Xu Liang recently opened the Modern Toilet, a restaurant that features toilets for seats and urinals as wall decorations. The Modern Toilet also offers a unique menu, as customers can select from items such as "excrement ice cream," "toilet bowl hot pot," and "fried poo sticks." Liang says that while some people may find his restaurant's theme unappealing, consumers tend to respond to a novel idea. He tells "Orange" news, quote, "Sometimes unusual combinations can work. A toilet and a restaurant are complete opposites but combined together they make for a unique experience."
