Survey Says: Voters Get Behind Green Bay This Year

It appears that voters think this is the year for the Green Bay Packers. According to an ESPN.com poll, the Sports Nation expects to see the Pack face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Super Bowl 45 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Seventy-two-percent of voters think Green Bay will defeat the Chicago Bears in this weekend's NFC Championship Game at Soldier Field in Chicago, but most of them think it will be a close game. Fifty-five-percent also said that matchup is shaping up to be the most interesting. The other game -- the New York Jets vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh -- is also expected to be a close one, but 69-percent of voters pick the Steelers to walk away victorious. As for the big game on February 6th, Green Bay is the overwhelming favorite.

Forty-seven-percent think the Packers will be successful in their first Super Bowl appearance since 1998, giving them their first championship since the now-retired Brett Favre led the team to victory at Super Bowl 31 in 1997.
