Sara Evans "Overwhelmed With Emotion" At Student Concert

Sara Evans says she was very moved by the group of student musicians she was supposed to help inspire. The country star made a stop at Pearl-Cohn High School last Friday to support the kids who'll be competing in next month's "Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert." Eight singers took part in the special performance for Evans, who was blown away by what she heard. She admits, quote, "I honestly didn't know what I was walking into exactly, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my whole entire career." Sara explains, quote, "These kids were so amazing and they were such an inspiration to me. I wanted to come in and talk to them about pursuing music or not giving up on a dream and when I came in and they started singing I was just kind of overwhelmed with emotion." The "Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert" showcases six groups chosen from the 139 schools in Nashville. Luke Bryan will host the special show, taking place February 1st.
