Producers, Writers Guilds Announce Best Film Nominees

Two of the entertainment business' leading industry guilds are preparing to honor their own. Both the Producers Guild of America and the Writers Guild of America released lists of nominees for guild awards on Tuesday. Leading the pack among the honored films are "Black Swan," starring Natalie Portman; "The Fighter," starring Mark Wahlberg; and the Facebook drama "The Social Network." The PGA's list of honorees, which extends its scope to include small screen projects, highlights the TV series "30 Rock," "Lost," "Mad Men," and "Breaking Bad" for their excellence in 2010.

The Producers Guild will name winners in all nomination categories at a ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday, January 22nd. Filmmaker Judd Apatow of "40 Year Old Virgin" fame, will serve as host of that event. The 2011 Writers Guild Awards are scheduled to presented on Saturday, February 5th in simultaneous ceremonies in New York City and Los Angeles.
