Piers Morgan Launches New CNN Talk Show With Oprah Winfrey

Piers Morgan launches his new cable talk show on CNN tonight. The British journalist and TV personality is taking over the time slot vacated by longtime CNN talk show host Larry King last month. "Piers Morgan Tonight" premieres with an interview with media mogul Oprah Winfrey who opened up about some of her triumphs and failures. Oprah says the 1998 box office bust that was her movie "Beloved" caused her to go into depression and a macaroni and cheese-eating frenzy -- 30 pounds worth, by her estimation. Morgan has lined up a cavalcade of stars to follow Oprah as his first guest on "Piers Morgan Tonight." Shock jock Howard Stern, British comedian Ricky Gervais, Oscar winner George Clooney, music star Kid Rock and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are among the other guests scheduled to drop by Morgan's new show. "Piers Morgan Tonight" premieres at 9:00 pm Eastern on CNN.
