Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift CDs Among 2010's Best-Selling Albums

Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift have two of the best-selling albums of 2010. Billboard.com notes that Lady A's sophomore effort "Need You Now," which was released last January, is ranking second for the year with three-million-90-thousand copies sold. Swift's "Speak Now" is making an even more impressive showing. The album has third place on the list with sales of two-million-960-thousand copies. But with the disc arriving in stores in late October, that figure reflects just ten weeks of sales. Eminem's "Recovery" is the year's best seller, with fans picking up three-million 420-thousand copies of the rappers latest disc following its release back in June. Swift, meanwhile, is the best selling artist of 2010. Overall she has sold four-million-470-thousand albums this year. It's also the fourth year in a row the country-pop crossover star has been in the top ten on a year-ending best-sellers list. Her self-titled debut, which arrived in October 2006, ranked ninth for the year in 2007, and was the number six best seller of 2008. "Fearless" led the way as the best-selling album of 2009. In addition, Swift also has the number one album of the week. "Speak Now" is once again topping the Billboard 200 chart with sales of 77-thousand in the final week of 2010.
