Clerk Foils Robbery Attempt By Walking Away

A pharmacy employee in Des Moines, Iowa had little trouble putting a stop to an armed robbery attempt. The "Des Moines Register" is reporting that a man walked into the Hammer Pharmacy on Tuesday afternoon and handed the clerk a note demanding the drug hydromorphone. The suspect claimed to have two friends waiting outside with weapons, but the clerk was anything but worried. The employee simply walked off down a hallway, and when the crook realized the man wasn't returning, he fled the scene. Police were called to the pharmacy, but so far no arrests have been made.
