Billy Ray Cyrus Sued By Former Road Manager

Billy Ray Cyrus is being accused of age discrimination. Nashville's "Tennessean" says the singer's former road manager, who is 61, has filed a lawsuit claiming he was fired because of his age. Paul Abraham says he had worked on a casual basis for Billy Ray for the past 12 years, and became the singer's road and stage manager in September of 2007. In this capacity, Abraham took care of travel and concert arrangements for the country star and his band as well as his family. When Billy Ray wasn't on the road, Abraham helped maintain Cyrus' farm in Tennessee. Abraham was reportedly let go on May 1st of last year. Billy Ray and his estranged wife, Tish, are both named in the lawsuit.

Abraham's lawyer says his client wants 500-thousand-dollars, while court documents say Abraham is also seeking additional compensation -- to be awarded by a jury -- for, quote, "pain, humiliation, embarrassment and emotional distress."
