Alan Jackson Leaves Arista Nashville Record Label

Country music icon Alan Jackson is ending a 22-year-long relationship. Jackson announced in a statement on his website that he would be leaving the Arista Nashville record label and its parent company Sony Music Nashville. Jackson was the first artist signed to the label and he said that he had a great run with them but added, quote, "the time may be right to change things up a bit and see what comes next." Sony issued a statement of their own wishing Jackson well and thanking him for all the hit records that came out of their association. Jackson is currently preparing for his upcoming tour, which kicks off in Ontario, Canada, February 1st and includes a trek through Australia for the first time in his career.
