Theater Group Staging "Christmas Carol" In Klingon
A theater group in Chicago is putting an out-of-this-world spin on a holiday classic. According to the "Wall Street Journal," Christopher Kidder and Sasha Walloch have written an adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" that is spoken entirely in the "Star Trek" language of Klingon. The show features a Klingon Scrooge who is visited by three holiday ghosts that help get him into the Christmas spirit. The production reportedly takes place on the Klingon planet of Kronos. Christopher Kidder says the great thing about the production is you don't have to be a "Star Trek" fan to enjoy the show. He states, quote, "Star Trek has worked its way into the fabric of American pop culture so much, that even those people who aren't Trekkies understand what's going on."
