Shopper Shoves 100-Year-Old Walmart Greeter
An elderly Walmart employee will be back at work this week following a run-in with an unhappy customer. The "Milwaukee Journal Sentinel" is reporting that 100-year-old Lois Speelman was pushed to the ground last Sunday afternoon. Speelman was reportedly trying to verify whether or not a shopper had paid for the water bottles in her cart when the woman became angry and allegedly overreacted. Milwaukee police wound up arresting the woman, while Speelman was taken to a local hospital for a CT scan. Speelman says she's bruised and a little sore, but plans to be back at work on Thursday. She adds, quote, "That's our job. That's what we're up there in front for, to watch people going and coming."
