Randy Houser Happy To Be On Toby Keith's Label

Randy Houser says he really likes his new label. He became a Show Dog-Universal artist when his label, Universal Records South, merged with Toby Keith's Show Dog Records. But Houser tells TheBoot.com he's very happy with Toby Keith in charge, because, quote, "he's definitely about an artist being as creative as they want to be. He'll let you do what you want to do." Randy admits that he began working on his latest album, "They Call Me Cadillac," before the labels merge, and had been following his instincts anyway. He also notes his independence hasn't caused problems between him and the record execs, explaining, quote, "I think they understand that I am an artist and I have to do what I feel. That label knows that I will work harder for something that I truly, truly believe in than not." "They Call Me Cadillac," which arrived this fall, is Houser's first release with Show Dog-Universal.
