Police Officer Tased During Arrest
An Illinois police officer was hit with his own weapon during an arrest last weekend. SouthTownStar.com is reporting that Mokena police were called last Sunday morning after James Abramowicz was reportedly seen "doing burnouts" in a parking lot. The 26-year-old reportedly refused to show police his driver's license, and proceeded to run away. After a brief chase, Abramowicz and an officer got into a struggle, causing both men to receive a shock when the cop's Taser went off. Abramowicz was eventually placed under arrest, at which point he told police, quote, "at least I had the (guts) to try to get the Taser from the officer instead of taking a shock like a (sissy)." Abramowicz is now facing several charges, including drunken driving, resisting arrest, and battery.
