Montgomery Gentry's Eddie Montgomery continues to get bad news. His publicist confirms to "Country Weekly" that the singer's wife, Tracy has filed for divorce. Montgomery indicated in a Twitter post early Wednesday morning that his wife was leaving him because he was sick. In a post that has since been removed he tweeted, quote, "U find out u got cancer then u found out ur wife can't handle that so she seek of and files for a divorce ,,, merry christmas. She says she's a Christian wow...I think I need to get her a braclet what would Jesus do cause I hope he still here with me." Eddie and Tracy have been married for more than 20 years, and share four children and a grandchild. Montgomery's publicist says the singer will address his marital situation with the media later this week.
Montgomery announced a couple of weeks ago that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. At the time he expressed his optimism in beating the disease, and noted he would be undergoing surgery before the end of the year to have the tumor removed.
