King To "Hang Up His Suspenders" After Tonight's Finale

Larry King is "hanging up his suspenders" after tonight's finale of his talk show on CNN. The 77-year-old will host his last-ever broadcast of "Larry King Live" this evening after 25 years with the cable network. There's no word on his guest roster when he takes to the airwaves. The network has announced, however, that it has "surprises" for the departing King and his audience on the "Live" finale. On the TV host's penultimate broadcast last night, he spent an hour talking to a Hollywood legend. Barbra Streisand dished on home design, sexism, and her views on politics. Streisand has a lot of projects on her plate these days. Just last month she released her first book, "My Passion For Design." Next Wednesday, December 22nd, she's back on the big screen playing the mother of Ben Stiller's character in the comedy "Little Fockers."

Streisand is just one of the notables King's interviewed on "Live." A sampling of the guests that he's hosted on his long-running series includes media mogul Oprah Winfrey; former U.S. President Bill Clinton; and GRAMMY-winner Stevie Wonder. King's successor Piers Morgan will launch his new series "Piers Morgan Tonight" next month. Catch the final new episode of "Larry King Live" on CNN at 9:00 p.m. Eastern and 6:00 p.m. Pacific tonight.
