HOLIDAY FAVORITES: ANIMATED TV SPECIALS AND MOVIES

Rudolph doesn't just lead Santa's sleigh at Christmastime. The red-nosed reindeer is also the one to watch on TV. Just under a quarter of those taking part in a recent Harris Poll say they're most fond of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," putting it at the top of the list of favorite animated holiday TV shows. The 46-year-old special just edges out "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," which has 22-percent of the vote. One in five like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" the best. Taking a distant fourth place is "Frosty the Snowman," the favorite of nine-percent. Four-percent most enjoy "The Year Without a Santa Claus."

Twenty-three-percent think "It's A Wonderful Life" is a wonderful movie, which puts it at the top of the list of favorite holiday flicks. Nineteen-percent like "A Christmas Story," while 17-percent prefer "Miracle on 34th Street." "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" has 13-percent of the vote to take fourth place. "The Santa Clause" rounds out the top five.
