Gretchen Wilson Proud Of Grammy Nominations

Gretchen Wilson says she's proud the song "I'd Love To Be Your Last" is a GRAMMY contender. The track, from her CD "I Got Your Country Right Here," is up for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and it's earned a Best Country Song bid for writers Rivers Rutherford, Sam Tate, and Annie Tate. Wilson says she's pleased the track is getting the recognition, noting, quote, "This is a beautiful love song, just so beautifully written. It's the kind of song that almost makes you cry every time you hear it. I'm really excited about the nominations and very thankful to Rivers, Annie and Sam for writing such an amazing song." The 53rd annual GRAMMY Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Los Angeles, and air live on CBS on February 13th.

Other tracks vying for Best Country Song include George Strait's "The Breath You Take," Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me," Zac Brown Band's "Free," Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," and The Band Perry's "If I Die Young." Wilson's "I'd Love To Be Your Last" is facing Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home," Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me," LeAnn Rimes' "Swingin'," and Jewel's "Satisfied" for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
