Street Performer Causes Alarm With Fake Grenade

A street performer in San Francisco forced authorities to block off part of the city last weekend. According to the "San Francisco Chronicle," police were called last Saturday after a man was seen juggling a grenade at Fisherman's Wharf. Police detained the unidentified performer and eventually discovered that the grenade was just a replica. Police Lieutenant Troy Dangerfield says it's always important to "take all precautions," adding, quote, "If you're a juggler, and you're juggling something that looks like it could be dangerous, please have a big sign saying it's fake. Or just use bananas." Police have not said whether or not the man will face charges.
