RI Candidate Falls

(Bristol, RI) -- A state representative candidate from Rhode Island had a rough election, and it had nothing to do with winning or losing. Richard Morrison was greeting people when a voter tripped and fell. As Morrison ran to help, he also fell and hit his head. The voter who fell was teated at the scene. A spokeswoman for Morrison told "The Providence Journal" he was taken to the hospital out of concern he may have suffered a concussion. Samantha Cotter said Morrison later contacted her from the hospital and said he felt fine. Morrison won his race with almost 60 percent of the vote.
