MOST AMERICANS WILL BE VACATIONING IN 2011
Most Americans plan to get away next year. Ninety-percent of those taking part in TripAdvisor's annual travel trends survey say they intend to take at least two leisure trips in 2011, and 36-percent note they'll be spending more time vacationing next year than they did this year. Three-quarters of those polled note they'll be visiting U.S. cities, while 69-percent are planning international trips. Just over half of those crossing the border will be heading to Europe, with Paris, London, and Rome the most popular international destinations. But 13-percent are planning to go to Asia and 12-percent will be packing their bags for locations in South America. The hot vacation spots within the U.S. are Las Vegas, New York City, and San Francisco.
