Mark Wills Recovering From Ruptured Intestine

Mark Wills is literally grateful to be alive this Thanksgiving. The singer tells TheBoot.com that his large intestine ruptured last month, and emergency surgery saved his life. He notes it was an incredibly eye-opening experience. Wills explains, quote, "There's not many more ways to bring you down to reality or put you in your place or make you realize how fragile life is when your doctor tells you, 'Dude, you were dying.'" He adds that it really helped him put his life in perspective, noting, quote, "Once that shock sort of wears off, then you realize what you're leaving. That's where it really bothers you. It never dawned on me how precious your time is and how quickly it can be gone." Wills is still recovering, and admits he's, quote, "not used to sitting this long doing nothing." But he says that while he's antsy to get back in action, he's not going to rush things. Before his medical drama began Wills had been working on a new album. He says he plans to finish the project early next year.
