Gwyneth Paltrow To Make Country Performance Debut At CMA Awards
One of the most anticipated moments at tonight's 44th annual Country Music Association Awards isn't focused on a country star. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will be taking the stage at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena to make her debut as a country singer. She'll perform "Country Strong," the title track to her upcoming movie. Vince Gill will join Paltrow to provide backing vocals, reprising the role he plays on the studio version of the song. Singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert leads the pack of contenders with a record nine nominations -- the most for a female artist at a single CMA awards event. The ceremony is also falling on her 27th birthday. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the 44th annual CMA Awards, airing on ABC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
