Dierks Bentley Proud To Be Recognized For Bluegrass CD
Dierks Bentley says receiving nominations from the Country Music Association for his bluegrass CD "Up on the Ridge" means a lot to him. He says he's particularly proud of earning a shot at Album of the Year for the project he developed with producer Jon Randall. However, Bentley doesn't believe he'll actually capture the CMA Album of the Year honors. His competition include Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Carrie Underwood's "Play On," and George Strait's "Twang," as well as Miranda Lambert's "Revolution" -- the album he believes is going to win. Bentley is entering the event with three nominations. He's also up for Male Vocalist of the Year, while the "Up on the Ridge" track "Bad Angel," featuring Lambert and Jamey Johnson, is in the running for Musical Event Of The Year. The 44th annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Nashville and air on ABC on Wednesday.
