Pop superstar Christina Aguilera is now officially a part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer received the two-thousandth-423rd star during a ceremony in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard on Monday. Aguilera addressed her large collection of screaming fans, saying she's honored to finally see her years of hard work pay off. She stated, quote, "As a young girl in Pittsburgh, I often imagined what it would be like to come to Hollywood and make it as a performer. We would go from audition to audition and I would sing anthem after anthem...hoping one day it would pay off. Standing here at this moment I know that it has paid off in spades."
Aguilera's star unveiling on the Hollywood Walk of Fame comes a little more than a week before the release of her film debut in "Burlesque." The film, which also stars Cher, arrives in theaters on November 24th.
