Car Thief Caught After Running Out Of Gas

A car thief in Georgia probably should have checked the fuel gauge before selecting his target vehicle. The "Albany Herald" is reporting that Jacory Phillips is accused of breaking into Albany's Five Star Nissan dealership on Thanksgiving night and driving off with a 2011 Nissan Altima. Phillips reportedly drove through the glass showroom doors and off the lot before realizing the vehicle was low on gas. A short time later, authorities received reports that there was a man at a gas station begging for money. Police subsequently located Phillips and placed him under arrest. Five Star Nissan was able to stay open on Friday by covering the damage to their door with plastic.
