Campers Head To Best Buy Nine Days Before Black Friday

A group of Florida residents is very serious about getting a jump on other local shoppers. The "St. Petersburg Times" is reporting that Lorie Davenport and Tina Thain began camping outside of a Tyrone-area Best Buy nine days before this Friday's Black Friday shopping bonanza. Davenport says this is their sixth year camping out in advance of the biggest shopping day of the year, noting that they usually set up their tent six or seven days before hand. Thain says they always get a "kick out of" the process, adding, quote, "It's like going to a people zoo. You're sitting there having a conversation on the sidewalk and people are driving by and thinking you're crazy."
