Burglary Suspect Injured While Attempting To Escape
A poorly executed escape plan has landed two Georgia residents in hot water. WSBTV.com is reporting that two men allegedly broke into East Point's Stanton Plaza Package Store early Monday morning by cutting a hole in the roof. While inside, the two suspects reportedly triggered the store's alarm. When police arrived on the scene, one suspect allegedly tried to escape by jumping off the building's roof. The plan ultimately failed, as the man injured himself in the fall and was arrested. Authorities apprehended the second man inside the store. The store's owner says nothing was taken from his business, but notes that he now has to pay to repair the hole in his roof.
