Beekeeper Falls Prey To His Own Shotgun Booby Trap

(Loveland, CO) -- A Loveland, Colorado beekeeper was blasted by the shotgun booby trap he rigged to keep a lurking bear away from his hive. The "Denver Post" reports 68-year-old John Frost injured his hand and lower leg earlier this month when he was bested by his own device. His injuries are described as minor. Frost initially told investigators he was injured while cleaning his gun. However, an investigation of his property turned up the trap, a box with a trip wire and shotgun. Frost does not face criminal charges.
