The Band Perry Celebrates Their First Number One Hit

The Band Perry has lots to be thankful for this holiday season. The trio is celebrating their first chart-topper with "If I Die Young," which has hit number one on both "Billboard" magazine and Country Aircheck/USA Today charts powered by Mediabase. Kimberly Perry notes, quote, "There is nothing more important to us than family and over the past year our family has grown to include everyone who has encouraged us along the way." She adds, quote, "We love to play country music -- to be given the chance to share it with others has been a dream come true that we are so grateful for." Not only is it the first number one for The Band Perry, "If I Die Young" is the first chart-topper for the Republic Nashville label that launched in July 2009.

The Band Perry has a couple of TV appearances slated for next month. The trio is up for three American Country Awards and they'll also perform during the ceremony airing on FOX on December 6th. Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry will also visit ABC's "The View" on December 15th.
