Steel Magnolia Honored To Be Nominated For CMA Award
Steel Magnolia's Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones say they're thrilled to be in the running for a Country Music Association Award. The singers -- who took part in the nomination announcement Tuesday -- note they aren't just excited about the recognition, but also about finding their name alongside some of country music's top performers. Steel Magnolia is in the running for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 44th annual CMA Awards, along with Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, Montgomery Gentry, and Joey + Rory. However, while this is Steel Magnolia's first nomination from the Country Music Association, this fall's event won't mark the first time they've gone to the ceremony. Linsey and Jones note the first awards show they ever attended was last year's CMAs. Recalling that event, they say they were so nervous when they arrived that they were afraid to leave their vehicle. The 44th annual CMA Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Nashville and air on ABC November 10th.
