"The Simpsons" Voice Actress Sued
Nancy Cartwright, the actress who provides the voice for Bart Simpson, may be saying "Ay caramba!" this week. TMZ.com reports that American Safety Casualty Insurance Company is suing Cartwright. ASCIC claims the 52-year-old agreed to assume costs if anything went wrong on a construction project that the company insured for her then-fiance, Stephen Brackett, back in 2008. ASCIC alleges that Brackett gave funds for the construction job to the Church of Scientology, where both he and Cartwright were members. Brackett later killed himself in 2009, leaving an incomplete job behind. ASCIC says it paid over a quarter-million-dollars to finish Brackett's work. The company now wants the "Simpsons" star to reimburse their costs and pay damages.
