Men Attempt To Rob Sheriff Over Craigslist Sale

A pair of Idaho residents are facing criminal charges after they attempted rip off a member of local law enforcement. KATU.com is reporting that Ada County Sheriff Gary Raney found a laptop he wished to purchase on Craigslist, and agreed to meet the seller over the weekend in Garden City. When Raney arrived, he noticed the man who was supposed to be selling the computer wearing all dark clothing and sitting on a rock. Raney became suspicious and subsequently called police. When authorities arrived the alleged seller attempted to run, but was quickly apprehended. A second suspect was also eventually arrested. Following an investigation, police determined that Dominic Hinton and Roman Nazarko were intending to commit an armed robbery. Raney says he's happy the two men are behind bars, noting, quote, "The only thing better then laughing at arresting criminals is laughing at arresting dumb criminals."
