Kenny Chesney Previewing New Songs Online

Kenny Chesney is previewing some of his new music online. The singer has the song "Reality" posted at People.com, along with a video in which he comments on the track. He says the song, about taking a break from the day to day stresses in life, was inspired by the fans at his shows. Chesney notes that his goal with his concerts is to provide his audience with that diversion for a few hours, and he believes he succeeds. He explains that at his shows, quote, "These people are having a great time. They're not thinking about what's going on in their job or not necessarily what's going on at school. They're just enjoying the moment with a lot of people, and having fun. I'm just glad we're a part of that." Chesney adds that he understands how his fans feel, because as a kid he was going to concerts for the same reasons -- to forget his responsibilities at work, pressures at school, or troubles at home. "Reality" is from Chesney's new CD "Hemingway's Whiskey," which will be in stores September 28th.

Fans wanting to hear more new music from Chesney can also visit CMT.com. The website has live clips of the songs "Coastal" and "Hemingway's Whiskey," taken from the country star's upcoming installment of "Invitation Only." The show will make its debut on CMT on September 27th -- the day before "Hemingway's Whiskey" is released. In addition, from now until the album arrives Chesney's "No Shoes Radio," at www.noshoesradio.com, will be playing snippets of the CD's tracks.
